Terms of use
Draft of 24 September 2026 · private beta
These terms apply to the Auto-Edit private beta (a working name), run by Jack Cole Productions in the United Kingdom. By signing in you agree to them. The beta is invite-only and free.
Your footage stays yours
- You keep all ownership of the videos you upload and of the edits and exports made from them.
- You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and transform your uploads only to provide the service to you — for example to transcribe, cut, caption, design and export your video — and, where you rate or comment on a draft, to review it to improve the service.
- This licence ends when you delete the project or your account, apart from copies we must keep briefly for backups or by law.
- We will not publish your footage or sell it, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.
You must have the rights
When you upload, you confirm that you own the footage or have permission to use it, including from anyone who appears or speaks in it, and from the owners of any music or other material in it. You must not upload anything unlawful, infringing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that shares someone's private information without permission.
AI-made edits
Drafts are made automatically, partly by AI. They can contain mistakes — a misheard word, a caption in the wrong place, a graphic you would not have chosen. Always review a draft before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish.
A beta, as it is
- Features will change, things may break, and we may pause or end the beta. We will try to give notice before deleting anything you have made.
- There are daily limits on uploads while we measure costs. Please don't try to get around them, share your sign-in, or probe the service for weaknesses (tell us if you find one — thank you).
- The service is provided free and “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or lost content, so keep your own copy of your original footage. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending
You can stop using the beta at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend access if these terms are broken.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
